Jim Jones the rapper featured on the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop, who was arrested in NYC for driving his 2011 Bentley on a suspended license earlier this year, pleaded guilty, according to Perez Hilton!

Rapper Jim Jones (real name Joseph Jones) at Manhattan Criminal Court this afternoon where he answered a desk appearance ticket for his March 30th arrest for driving with a suspended license.
In March, Jones arrested after being stopped by police on his way to a video shoot for “Everybody Jones,” a single off his 2011 album, CAPO. It was while he was en route that he was snagged by the police. Fortunately for him, the judge issued a desk appearance ticket and released him immediately.
His lawyer, Marianne Bertuna, said Jones didn’t know his license was invalid because he must have missed the notices that he needed to pay a penalty, the NY Daily News reported.
Prosecutors had been seeking to have Jones pay a $500 fine and up to 30 days in jail. As part of his plea deal, Jimmy had to cough up $280– a 200 fine and $80 in court costs, pleading guilty to misdemeanor.

And, shouldn’t people have to give credit to those they use as references, even in the entertainment world? Didn’t know just where to leave this question. People should check from time to time with Traffic Court to see status of license.
