In March, Jones arrested after being stopped by police on his way to a video shoot for “Everybody Jones,” a single off his 2011 album, CAPO. It was while he was en route that he was snagged by the police. Fortunately for him, the judge issued a desk appearance ticket and released him immediately.

His lawyer, Marianne Bertuna, said Jones didn’t know his license was invalid because he must have missed the notices that he needed to pay a penalty, the NY Daily News reported.

Prosecutors had been seeking to have Jones pay a $500 fine and up to 30 days in jail. As part of his plea deal, Jimmy had to cough up $280– a 200 fine and $80 in court costs, pleading guilty to misdemeanor.

Listen, this is a different topic, but is borrowing dance moves plagarism, how many sentences of dance moves need to be copied to fit the diagnosis of plagarims? And, shouldn’t people have to give credit to those they use as references, even in the entertainment world? Didn’t know just where to leave this question. As for Mr Jones, it’s a shame that in NYC you can be arrested for a suspended license and really not know that your license has been suspended. People should check from time to time with Traffic Court to see status of license.
