Boxer Adrien Broner Ordered to Pay Over $800K to His Sexual Assault Victim!!!

18 Dec

Adrien_BronerLooks like its time for the star boxer, Adrien Broner to put back on his gloves because a Clevland court has ordered him to empty out his cash drawer to a woman he was convicted  of assaulting in a Cleveland nightclub.

According to the victim’s civil complaint, back in June of 2018, Broner “thrust himself on to [the victim], pinned her beneath his body, and began kissing her.” The victim said she struggled to free herself but was unable to push him off of her as he stuck his tongue down her throat, kissed her neck and body, and continued pressing himself on her. One of Mr. Broner’s friends reportedly pulled him off of her, after a bystander snapped a photo of the assault.

The crime was immediately reported to the Cleveland Police Dept.

On April 8, 2019, the former welterweight champ pleaded guilty to assault and unlawful restraint, and was sentenced to probation. And as far as the civil suit goes, Broner did not appear at the hearing to contest the damages.

Welp, Broner was hit with a $830,000 judgment in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday, in connection with a June 2018 incident at The Park Social Lounge in Cleveland, according to the plaintiff’s attorney Subodh Chandra.

Assault Charges Against Remy Ma Dropped!!!

5 Dec

No more ankle bracelets or curfews. Rapper Remy Ma is a free woman (again). She was on travel restrictions, and had to be in the house every night by 8pm, all because she was accused of punching her “Love & Hip Hop New York” co-star Brittney Taylor in the face during an April 16 concert in New York City.

Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, was arrested and charged with assault back in May.  However, Remy always denied the incident even occurred. Her lawyer said her client was home with her daughter at the time of the alleged attack.

The case was dismissed Monday after prosecutors said conflicting evidence and witness accounts made the case too difficult to prove. Whats more confusing is that the alleged victim, Brittney Taylor went to Instagram after the case was dismissed and posted a cryptic message: “you’re welcome” after Remy left the courthouse wearing a pink and yellow faux fur coat with her husband, Papoose and a smile on her face.

Assistant District Attorney Juan Maldonado says the sole witness who corroborated Taylor’s account stopped co-operating with investigators.

This isn’t Fetty’s first brush with the law. Back in late 2017, he was arrested and charged with DUI after police say he was caught drag racing another car on a New York City highway.  No word on whether his “trap queen” was accompanying him in either of the ALLEGED incidents.

Oliver Miller pleads guilty to pistol-whipping

3 Nov

Back in April, former NBA player Oliver Miller was arrested for allegedly pistol-whipping his girlfriend’s brother at a family barbecue cookout.

Tuesday, he pleaded guilty in a Maryland court.  According to the Baltimore Sun,  Miller entered a guilty plea in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court to charges of first-degree assault and carrying a handgun.

Maryland’s Deputy State’s Attorney Thomas J. Fleckenstein said that Miller followed Jason Worley from the cookout, and was seen hammering Worley in the head and face with a handgun outside Worley’s home before driving away. Worley suffered a concussion and other injuries, the prosecutor said, but the gun was not found.

Miller played nine seasons in the NBA, mostly in the 1990s, averaging 7.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. The journeyman center played for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and even had a stint with the Harlem Globetrotters.

The maximum sentence for this is 25 years and Fleckenstein said he will pursue jail time for Miller.  He is unlikely to see much jail time however, as Miller has no prior convictions and plead guilty.
